Ken Dalton FRICS – Managing Director
Ken Dalton was Group Managing Director of David McLean Contractors from 1988 to 2005 and saw the turnover of the Company rise from £9 million to £300 million over this period. The spread of the work included every sector imaginable;  health, retail, commercial, petrol filling stations, hotels, student accommodation, housing, nursing homes, windfarms, gas and oil terminals. It is hard to imagine any sector that was not undertaken during Ken’s time as Managing Director. Ken’s strengths are in the cost planning, design and financial control of the projects from inception to completion and ongoing customer care.

Ashling Whelan –Marketing Director
Ashling also worked at David McLean and was responsible for Marketing, Web Design, PR, Graphic Design, Customer Relations as well as Office Administration. Ashling is an extremely valuable member of the team and she will ensure that any form of media emanating from GC Construction (UK) Ltd will be to the highest professional standards. This will include how we sell our products, engendering the best possible customer relations and making sure that the GC Construction (UK) Ltd image is one of true professionalism.

Ashling also heads up the accounts department to ensure the smooth operation of the businesses purchase and sales ledger processes. With a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills, she safeguards GC Construction’s exemplary record of fair and prompt payment obligation to the supply chain.

Oliver Dalton – Quantity Surveyor
Oliver did his training with David McLean Contractors (2 years) and Wates Construction(2 years) where he worked on the large prestigious Liverpool Academy project. He had achieved a BSc in Business Studies followed by a BSc in Quantity Surveying both at Liverpool John Moores University before joining Kitwe as a Quantity Surveyor in 2009.

Oliver is responsible for all Commercial matters in the company.

Vince Chadwick – Contracts Manager
Vince has some 48 years’ experience within the construction industry, the last 40 years as a Contracts Manager working for both large and medium-sized contractors. His experience spans across multiple sectors and construction types.

Vince has diverse experience of having successfully delivered a number of refurbishment projects as would be expected of a Contracts Manager of his calibre and experience within the industry. His project experience ranges from larger new build projects, extension and refurbishment schemes all of which have given him the key components to oversee and plan the projects.

Vince is client-focused, and has an established and proven success in fostering and maintaining a strong working relationship with all our proposed team members through the delivery of varied projects.

He is fully conversant with current legislative requirements, has a practical approach to service delivery with excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.

Tony Payne
As a Senior Site Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry, Tony is skilled in all aspects of construction including civils, 1″ & 2′ fix, refurbishment, new­build, formwork coordination, joinery, managing contractors, communication, temporary works and inspection. Tony thrives on new challenges, which is why he enjoys construction, as each project varies in size complexity and duration.

Tony will direct and support the site team to ensure all contractual and specification obligations are met whilst operating within the customer’s budget and to deliver the project within the agreed programme.

Tony is incredibly client-focused, and has an established and proven success in fostering and maintaining a strong working relationship with all the construction team members, having delivered a large number of varied projects for a variety of different clients.
